My Biggest Mistake When Learning Japanese Was Not Learning Grammar
When I learnt Japanese someone told me that because Japanese didn't have as many irregular verbs as French its grammar was easy. This really tripped me up as I neglected grammar, and then when I got agency trials I couldn't pass them. I am remedying this by using the 8547 Japanese sentences anki deck and reading through the Tsutsui and Makino dictionaries.
Along Came a Spider Film Review
I have read the book about ten times, but think that the film is still very good, even though it leaves out key plot elements. *spoiler* The bit when the girl doesn't let the kidnapper in after she twigs is very clever.
My review of Midnight Run
Hilariously funny, every time I watch it I see something new to laugh at. De Niro and Grodin are superb, but the supporting cast are phenomenal. The character of Jerry Geisler is believable, and Yaphet Kotto's character is amazing. My only gripe is that this goes on too long, but then that is alluded to in the title - a "midnight run" should be over in ten minutes! As I wrote in jail, life is never so easy!
