 Oceans 11 Patience Card Game


This is a patience game based on calculation.

The aim is to build four foundations in the following order:

The cards are dealt from the pack one at a time and every card must be played to a foundation or played to one of the four waste heaps below the foundations

At any time the top card of a waste heap may be built to a foundation, but not to another heap.

Say a 4 is dealt first of all - it can either be played to foundation number 4 or dealt to a waste heap. If a ten is dealt next it can only go to a waste heap. There is no redeal.


After the first four sequences are complete in one deal shuffle and play again, this time building the foundations in the following order.

This is the reverse of the first order. After this sequence is complete without any redeals shuffle and do a third set of sequences:

This set of sequences is based on the Vietnamese game Tieng Len where the Ace is highest.

The 11 kings of the foundations represent Danny Ocean and the eleven members of his crew with the 2 representing Terry Benedict.

This is a patience variety that rewards foresight and clever play - if you can complete I would consider robbing a casino.

The first four kings should be in the order Clubs, Diamonds, Hearts, Spades (Contract Bridge)#

The second in the order Diamonds, Hearts, Spades, Clubs

and the third four kings in the order Spades, Clubs, Diamonds, Hearts


Ocean's 12 card game


Like above, but replace the second set of foundations with

The 12 kings represent the 12 members of Ocean's 12.

Deal four cards to a tableau then two to a cache. When A card appears in the tableau one builds it to a foundation. After the stock is dead fan the cache and build cards; There are three redeals with no cache on the third redeal. The (limited) skill comes in deciding whether to build high or low.


Further Ideas

Turn four cards at random and do these foundations. Turn one card at random and do all foundations that card.
